I believe that Reflexology is powerful and gets amazing results!!!

My Story
"How did you get into Reflexology?" I get that question a lot! LOL! Well, here is how it happened 10 years ago. I was working as a Tax Accountant at Waters Technologies. Waters Technologies already had Massage Therapists come to the building and I was getting regular massages at my lunch break. At the time, I was a Sprint Triathlete and a Half Marathoner. I heard that there was a new reflexologist coming and to get new clients, she was giving a free 30 minute session! I thought that I would give it a try! My feet would love to get some love since they've are always pounding the pavement with my running! I thought it would be a nice foot massage! Was I wrong!!! (In a good way!) It started out with me filling out a client intake form. I had never had to do that for the massages! What the heck! This is my lunch break! So, I rolled my eyes and did not put much care into filling it out! I put that I had knee pain and thyroid issues. The Reflexologist started to work on my feet! She started and after a minute, she asked me if I had lower back pain in my L5? I said "Yes! How did you know that?". She said "she could feel it in my spine reflexes". I did have chronic back pain in my L5 and SI joint at the time. I did not put that on the intake form! She worked on my L5 reflex and the pain disappeared!!! Then she got to my sinus reflexes. She asked me if I was stuffy and had allergies. I said the same thing as I did previously, "Yes! How did you know that?". She said that "my reflexes felt congested". She worked on my sinus reflexes and they started to drain immediately! Then she started to find other things that I had going on with my body! It was unbelievable! She also worked on my knee reflexes and the pain went away! It was undeniably not a foot massage, it was so much more and better! My feet and body felt amazing! My stress melted away! I was so calm! Needless to say, I was hooked! I did not know it at the time, but this first reflexology session lit a fire in me! It took 3 more years of regular sessions and I had a realization that I didn't want to be unhappy and continue working in finance. It was never for me! I wanted to become a reflexologist and actually help people! That's when my career was on its way to changing from tax accountant to becoming a Reflexologist!
Before all this, I was born in Dedham, MA. At age 5, I moved to Franklin, MA. I went to school in Franklin until high school. My father was a Middle School US History teacher in Medway, MA. He convinced me that with the smaller school, that I would like it better. He was right! He also probably wanted to keep an eye on me too! I graduated from Medway High School in June 1994. I went to Bridgewater State College and graduated in 1998 with an Environmental Geography degree. I started to work as a Sanitarian Trainee at Nashoba Associated Boards if Health for a year and a half. I thought that it might be a good fit with my geology and soils background and I like the outdoors. It didn't turn out that I liked it. I knew that I wanted to try to work indoors so I tried to be an Admin for a Controller in a Landscaping business' office. I was taught accounting and that's where the accounting career started. It was easy for me but never something I truly liked. It just paid the bills. And when I became a tax accountant, I discovered how much I hate deadlines! I also have worked part time as a fitness instructor teaching Pilates and Spin classes, while I was still working full time! But, then I discovered that I finally found my niche! I was a healer and a really good one too! This is where the reflexology career came in!
My hobbies are yoga, pilates, crochet, running, making products using essential oils, hiking, traveling, and making it to the beach whenever I can! As you can see, I have a lot of different interests. I have also been working on my own health. I have been using reflexology, essential oils, herbal teas, and diet to help me get healthier! It has helped me figure out that I have food sensitivities, and by doing this, I no longer have seasonal allergies or my bee allergy! I used to have to get allergy shots for both! It's crazy and amazing! My thyroid medication has also decreased! Yay!
